Many models of ships interracotta or bronze are found in sites around the Tyrrhenian Sea.They areobjects full of sacred and symbolic value and are often found in tombs inEtruria and sanctuaries in Sardinia. They were perhaps used as lamps but recallthe long-distance maritime trade in which all the peoples of the Mediterranean were involved.
