The Museum of the Mausoleum of the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty consists of the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum of the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty and the National Archaeological Relics Park of the the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Mausoleum (Lishan Park). It takes about 1.5 hours to visit both places, and you can take the shuttle bus for free. The ticket is valid on the same day, and there are three times of ticket checking. Please enter the park within the ticket checking time.

Full-time undergraduate students and below can enjoy half-price admission upon presenting a valid student ID. (Note: Adult education, in-service education, online education, etc., are NOT eligible for discounts).

Note: According to the Shaanxi Provincial Price Bureau document "Letter Regarding the Reduction of Ticket Prices for the Qin Shi Huang Emperor's Mausoleum Site Museum" (Shaan Price Service Letter [2018] No. 141), the museum implements a ticket price of 120 RMB per person, with the same price applied during both peak and off-peak seasons.

The Qin Shi Huang Emperor's Mausoleum Site Museum implements a real-name online reservation system. All visitors (including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, foreign visitors, and policy free admission personnel) must reserve and pre-purchase tickets through the official website, the official WeChat public account "Qin Shi Huang Emperor's Mausoleum Site Museum", or "Terracotta Warriors Ticket Service Online" .

(1) Visitors who purchased tickets via the desktop website can check their orders by logging into the desktop website or by following the official public account, going to "My Orders" -> "Order Inquiry", and entering their mobile phone number, ID number, or order number.

(2) Visitors who purchased tickets via the WeChat public account can check their orders in the "My Orders" section within the public account.

If you need to cancel your booking, please do so before ticket inspection. Tickets cannot be refunded once used. Refunds will be processed back to the original payment account within 3-5 business days after cancellation.

Visitors can collect their reimbursement receipts at the exit gate machines at the East Gate of the park on the day of their visit.

Visitors who purchased tickets via the official website or WeChat can print receipts at the self-service machines using their original ID documents between 09:00-17:30. Receipts are invalid the next day.

As the spiritual symbol of Chinese civilization, the Qin Shi Huang Emperor's Mausoleum Site Museum and the Terracotta Warriors have experienced a sharp increase in visitor numbers in recent years, impacting the safety of the cultural heritage and its surrounding environment. To ensure the safety of cultural relics and visitors and enhance the visiting experience, the museum strictly implements "limited capacity, reservation, and staggered visits" measures and a real-name ticket sales and inspection system in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics," the "Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China," and the National Tourism Administration's "Guidelines for Calculating the Maximum Carrying Capacity of Scenic Spots".

1.  The museum allocates tickets based on time slots and implements time-slot entry. Visitors must arrive half an hour before their reserved time slot and enter on time to avoid inconvenience and ensure a good experience.

2.  The museum has a one-way entrance and exit route: The North Gate is the only entrance. All visitors must enter the museum through the North Gate. The museum implements a real-name ticket sales and inspection system. Ticket holders must match the ticket and ID document (person, ticket, and ID must be consistent) for ticket verification and cancellation before being allowed entry.

(1) Ticket holders must present their original valid ID documents (including ID card, Hong Kong/Macao Entry Permit, Taiwan Compatriot Permit, Home Return Permit, passport) for ticket verification and cancellation at the inspection gates.

(2) Full-time undergraduate students and below eligible for half-price tickets must also present their student ID card for verification and ticket cancellation at the dedicated Student Ticket channel.

(3) Visitors eligible for free admission must present the relevant original valid documents (including Military Officer ID, Soldier ID, Firefighter ID, Disability Certificate, etc.) for verification and ticket cancellation at the Policy Free Ticket channel.

The Qin Shi Huang Emperor's Mausoleum Site Museum showcases the archaeological site of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum and its environmental protection status. It is an open imperial mausoleum protection unit integrating education, research, tourism, and leisure, composed of multiple museums. It receives up to 10 million visitors annually. It is one of China's first World Cultural Heritage sites inscribed on the "World Heritage List", a National First-Class Museum, and a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction, recognized as one of the "World's Most Popular Museums".

1.  Pit 1: In March 1974, villagers from Xiyang Village in Lintong County (now Lintong District), Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, accidentally discovered the terracotta pits while digging a well. Pit 1 covers a total area of 14,260 square meters and contains approximately 6,000 terracotta figures and horses. Over 500 life-size terracotta warriors, 24 terracotta horses, 6 wooden chariots, and a large number of bronze weapons and chariot fittings have been excavated.

2.  Pit 2: Pit 2 has an L-shaped layout with a protruding northeast corner. It measures 124 meters east-west, 98 meters north-south, covering an area of about 6,000 square meters, with 11 access ramps on the east, west, and north sides. The pit consists of four units: the northeast section is a crossbowmen formation with over 300 kneeling and standing archers; the northern three corridors form a cavalry formation with 6 chariots and 108 cavalrymen; the southern three corridors of the cavalry section are a mixed infantry and chariot formation; the southern eight corridors consist of four-horse chariot groups. Pit 2 contains a total of 939 archers, charioteers, infantrymen, and cavalrymen, 472 terracotta horses, and 89 chariots.

3.  Pit 3: Located north of the west end of Pit 1, opposite Pit 2, 25 meters south of Pit 1 and 120 meters east of Pit 2, Pit 3 covers about 520 square meters. It has a concave shape, consisting of a north and south wing room and a chariot chamber. The chariot chamber contains one four-horse chariot and four terracotta figures. A total of 68 terracotta figures can be unearthed from Pit 3. Based on its internal layout, Pit 3 is believed to be the command post for Pits 1 and 2. It is the only pit not burned in ancient times, resulting in better preservation of the original paint on the figures, with more vibrant colors.

The original name of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum park was Lishan Garden, because the mausoleum is located at the northern foot of Mount Li. The core heritage area of Lishan Garden refers to the area within the outer city wall of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, covering approximately 2.13 square kilometers, while the entire park area spans over 50 square kilometers. To date, over 180 burial pits and nearly 200 burial tombs have been discovered, along with large areas of above-ground architectural ruins, indicating a rich cultural heritage. When the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum was inscribed on the "World Heritage List", the World Heritage Committee evaluated it as one of the largest archaeological reserves in the world.

After your visit to the Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Terracotta Army Museum, exit the complex. You can take the free shuttle bus at the Terracotta Warriors parking lot to Lishan Garden (same ticket valid for both sites) to continue your visit.

1.  Bronze Chariots and Horses Exhibition Hall: In 1980, two large bronze chariots and horses were unearthed from a burial pit about 20 meters west of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum mound, arranged one behind the other. After restoration, they are about half life-size. They were manufactured no later than the mausoleum's construction period, before 210 BC. Made primarily of bronze with some gold and silver fittings, various components were cast separately. Qin Dynasty craftsmen successfully employed techniques like casting, welding, inlaying, pinning, hinge joining, snap-button joining, and axle joining, combining them perfectly into a whole. They are the most structurally complex and largest ancient bronze artifacts discovered in 20th-century archaeology, hailed as the "Crown of Bronzes". It took 8 years of arduous effort by cultural relics conservation and restoration experts to complete their restoration.

2.  Burial Pit K9901: K9901 is also an underground tunnel-style wooden structure. The pit is rectangular, oriented east-west, with a main part slightly resembling the Chinese character "凸" (tu). It is about 5 meters deep and 40 meters long, with a sloped entrance ramp at each end. Rammed earth platforms were built along the southern and northern walls. The pit floor was rammed to form a foundation, on which two east-west partition walls were built, dividing the pit into three east-west corridors, the middle one wider than the north and south ones. The corridors' floors were paved with logs, and the partition walls were paneled with planks.

3.  Burial Pit K0006: Similar to other burial pits in the mausoleum complex, K0006 is an underground tunnel-style wooden structure. As it was not destroyed by fire, wooden structural remains are relatively well-preserved. The structure is roughly as follows: Rammed earth platforms surround the pit. The walls of these platforms were lined with vertically stacked planks forming the side walls of the main chamber; most of these planks have collapsed onto the pit floor. The pit floor, on a rammed earth foundation, was paved with north-south oriented planks. These floor planks have decayed, but their impressions are mostly intact. The pit was roofed with beams, covered with a layer of matting, and then filled with rammed earth.

There are two electric cart service points:

 Qin Shi Huang Emperor's Mausoleum Site Museum (Terracotta Warriors Museum): Located east of the first ticket inspection gate inside the complex. Fee: 5 RMB/person.

Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Archaeological Site Park (Lishan Garden): Located west of the ticket inspection gate inside the complex. Fee: 15 RMB/person.

The luggage storage facility is located east of the ticket hall, behind the LED screen wall. Luggage items that pass security inspection can be stored free of charge. For the safety of visitors and cultural relics, the museum DOES NOT store flammable, fragile, polluting, corrosive, or valuable items (cash, checks, bills, mobile phones, computers, drones, digital products, documents, jewelry), pets, beverages, odorous items, cooked food.

Located south of the Pit 1 square after the second ticket inspection, inside the Tourist Service Center. The clinic provides medical assistance to visitors in need.
