Pit 9901 was the first pit discovered in 1999 and is located to the southeast of the tomb area. It covers an area of 700 square meters with 2 sloping roadways.

Civil Officials Pit--Pit 0006
Pit 0006 is the 6th discovered in 2000 and is located to the southwest of the main tomb. It covers an area of 410 square meters, and contains 12 pottery figures, a wooden chariot, a pottery pot, four bronze axes and some real horses' bones. This pit is in the shape of the Chinese character "中".
